The one in which I state I hate the may mystery sock!
I had to frog the may mystery socks because for some reason I just couldn't get them to fit over my ankle. ( think I knit them too tightly) so I tore them out and used some of the yarn for another pair of socks that I designed them myself. I really think they turned out great!
I also had some time this month to start some of my Christmas knitting. this is the swallow tail shawl for my mom. I used dream in color baby yarn in the colorway lunar zazzle. this was my first knitted lace project and I really enjoyed it.
I am now working on this months mystery sock for the sockdown and it is turning out much better. It is micro- gauge and I have come to realize that I knit so tightly most of my socks pass for micro gauge so I am really loving this challenge!

May mystery socks .....
Well I was planning to knit three pairs of socks this month for the ska group but have seem to have gotten stuck on the mystery sock. I've tore it out and started it three times or better... I lost track. Let me say first this is my first color work project , second that the pattern changed for the second clue ( thank god because the first 2nd clue was way too long) and third but most important I think is that I was having Issues with the colors I was using. I am making this sock out of scraps from my stash and most of my yarns are or the variegated or self striping type so it was hard to find colors that coincided with each other and I'm still really not sure I like them! but I will soldier on.
this was my progress after clue #one I have now finished clue #2 and am beginning work on clue # three.
I think this time I will stick with this color combination.... It is certainly different from most of my other socks and I really like doing the color work. I love working from a chart its more interesting to me.

Mystery sock unraveled!
welll...... its looong over due but I've finally gotten a chance to post the pictures of my march mystery socks! here they are!!!
I think they really turned out great! they are so soft and comfy especially after washing. The 1x1 rib on the top of the foot really makes them hug the foot nicely.
These socks are entered in the knitters anonymous sock down for march. They turned out great!
My niece was here in march and saw the mystery socks and she fell in love with them so I will be sending them out to her soon.... I just have to make another pair for my other niece not sure what pattern I'm using next.
I also entered these socks in the march sockdown:
these are my bad gurl socks! these are really nice I like them a lot and they are so comfy.
last but not least I wanted to show you all the new addition to my puppy family this is zee! hes such a good dog! I'm thinking there may be baby beagles on the horizon soon!
I think he and Baylee will make some beautiful pups!
Oh!!! and I almost forgot!!!! I won a prize in february's sockdown!! I'm still in shock .... funny coincidence that february is my birthday month. such good luck I had I never win anything. That really made my day!

March mystery sock clue #2
well.... I got clue number 2 on Saturday and finally had the time today to work on it. I think it looks pretty good so far. I have made this sock longer than I usually make them so they will probably end up being a gift maybe for my niece Jessica? I don't know .... the colorway is also something I might not usually wear... but then I get to thinking with the right shoes and shirt they might look good. they will be definite conversation starters! cant wait for clue #3!

March madness entrelac mystery socks
OK so this is the first time I have decided to try and make the mystery sock pattern for Raverly!. what an interesting time to start...... with entrelac. ug! the idea at first scared me and tool me a while (hours) to figure out. But now I think I've got it down pat. I hope. I started out using this yarn
Which is beautiful and knits up great but the pattern wasn't showing up so great so I had to frog back all my work (again :( ) I was up till 2 am last nite trying to figure this pattern out. I know me and I would have torn it out later anyway because it would have drove me nuts. So this is the yarn I am using now
Hopefully this color will turn out better we will see.
